Mumbai rains have wreaked havoc and brought the city to a standstill. Well, not literally. However, water-logging across the city and local trains being delayed have only worsened the daily life of a Mumbaikar. In a recent development, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Spokesperson Sambit Patra and Maharashtra State Spokesperson Keshav Upadhyay were seen experiencing a common man’s plight while walking through water-clogged city streets near BJP’s Mumbai office in Dadar East.

It was only a matter of time that the picture (read tweet) posted by ANI, on its official Twitter account, saw people across the country troll the duo in their replies. People shared memes, funny messages, gifs and truck-load of sarcasm while trolling the duo, who were seen carrying umbrellas in the water-filled lanes of Mumbai.

As heavy rains continue to lash across the Mumbai city, we bring you the choicest of trolls which were posted online by some Twitter users. We are sure, you will end up holding your breath after continuous laughter!

1. Congratulations, Mr Sambit Patra!

2. Did someone just mention Bal Narendra?

3. The model of good governance.

4. Finally; if at all they do!

5. Are you searching for Vikas, Mr Sambit Patra?

6. With all said and done, the 'Ache Din' have arrived!

7. 'Maintain a Stoic Silence Please'

Mumbai city is set to receive moderate to heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours; the weather forecast department has issued notification and alerts in the same context. Every year, the condition of the city streets remain the same, and the hollow promises made by the administration and politicians fell flat when such heavy rains arrive. This year, too, there has been no change seen in Mumbai; however, like every year, the Mumbai spirit carries on!
