A circular issued by Air India on Monday to the crew members read, "With immediate effect, all are required to announce "Jai Hind" at the end of every announcement after a slight pause and with much fervour.” The national carrier presently has around 3500 cabin crew and over 1200 cockpit crew, and the directive comes days after Ashwani Lohani took charge as Chairman and Managing Director of Air India once again. While this news garnered various kinds of reactions from people, some of them didn't shy away from making memes and jokes about the announcement.
