Since the time Tumblr has announced that it is going to ban all the adult content on its site, there have been mixed reactions from all the Tumblr fans. The Yahoo-owned platform for blogging has been pulled from Apple's App Store because of child pornography and Tumblr will enforce the new policy of no adult content on the site from 17th December. The CEO recently said in a blog, "There is no shortage of sites on the internet that feature adult content. We will leave it to them and focus our efforts on creating the most welcoming environment possible for our community.' He also said, 'We’ve realised that in order to continue to fulfil our promise and place in culture, especially as it evolves, we must change.” According to the updated guidelines, any adult content containing GIFs, images, or video of "real-life human genitals or female-presenting nipples" is flagged. No Porn on Tumblr! However, many Tumblr users are really unhappy with the decisions and apart from venting their feeling via memes sex bloggers and Tumblr users who consumed the adult content on the website have also made it clear that they are really upset with the decision. Robert Yang, a designer who used Tumblr to archive over 100,000 CGI dick pics generated through a game he made called Cobra Club, said to Vice.com, quoting D'Onofrio's post, "A better, more positive Tumblr'—because people expressing consensual sexuality is worse and negative? Fuck that shit."

Kat E., who runs an NSFW Rick and Morty- themed blog, told Vice that, "I'm disappointed. Not because it's another website banning adult content—that, I can handle. It's how they're banning it that's truly disappointing. Painting adult content as harmful, unsafe, and unwelcome is really insulting. It's almost as if we're getting punished alongside genuinely harmful people."

There are mixed reactions to the decision; however, a large number of creators are very upset with the decision and the impact it is going to make on the society as a whole. What is your point of view? Let us know in the comments section below!
