Last night India won the match with Pakistan in the ICC Cricket World Cup by 89 runs by DLS method because of rains in the second innings. The match was a more like one-sided after India scored 336 runs in the first inning with 5 wickets in 49.5 overs whereas team Pakistan was only able to chase the score to upto 212 runs for 6 wickets in 40.0 overs. The match took place at the Old Trafford on Sunday and India emerged victoriously. However, what needs to be noted is the kind of encouragement both the teams received from the audience. While the auditorium mostly looked blue-washed, even the supporters from Pakistan didn't leave a single stone unturned to make the team feel supported. And most importantly, there was no trace of tension between the supporters which was a really good sign.
