Afghanistan is facing West Indies in the first One-Day International (ODI) cricket match at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Meanwhile, an Afghani cricket fan has not been able to find accommodation in the city due to his 'height'. Reportedly his height has been posing as an issue in finding a hotel to stay. Sher Khan, an 8 feet 2-inch tall cricket fan from Kabul, Afghanistan struggled for almost three days to get accommodation in Lucknow. He has been running from pole to post trying to get a roof, but no hotelier accepted him, the reason being his height and appearance. Afghanistan Vs West Indies, Cricket Score 1st ODI Match. 

As even after much efforts Sher Khan failed to find a hotel he resorted to help from the police. He reached Naka Police Station and explained the issue he was facing. After checking his documents, the cops helped Khan find a place to stay. The One Day International cricket match will be played in Lucknow after a gap of around 30 years. The last ODI was played in Lucknow in 1989 between Pakistan and Sri Lanka at the KD Singh Babu Stadium. The ongoing bilateral series began on November 6 and will extend until December 1.

Afghanistan and West Indies will face each other in a full-fledged bilateral series with the month-long series starting with a three-match OD series followed by another three-match T20I series and a lone Test match. The entire series will be played at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Stadium in Lucknow. The series commenced on November 6, 2019 (Wednesday) with the first ODI game and will run until December, when the only Test match will be played.
