In India, a few months back, another letter had gone viral at Chattisgarh's Raigad district, when a head constable wrote a letter to SP, asking permission to hit his wife and threaten her. The letter has gone viral on social media, and according to it, the constable's wife belongs to upper caste and has a political affiliation, so he is worried that if he threatens and beats her, the woman's family will make a complaint. He also mentioned in the application that he has always obliged to whatever his wife says, but his wife wants to participate in a protest by family members of the Police department in Raipur.
