Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday morning but ahead of the meeting, a news report was going viral. The report from Times of India's newspaper said Modi and Xi will mate 6 times in 24 hours. A mistake that evident was bound to be shared and joked all over. With social media at everyone's disposal, it instantly became viral and everyone began calling out to this grave mistake. It became a butt of few jokes as well, while other journalists expressed shock. But now to a relief, the media giant has clarified that the image being shared online was photoshopped.
Times of India clarified in a tweet that the image of the news report which replaces 'meet' for 'mate' is fake and has been photoshopped! Clarifying their stand, they wrote, "A photoshopped image of our headline on the Modi-Xi meet is doing the rounds. All our editions carry the correct headline. You can see the difference when the correct & fake headlines are placed together. The one on the right is the photoshopped image with the word 'mate' tilted."
Take a look at TOI's tweet with the original and fake image of the report:

Another journalist from Alt News too pointed out at the photoshop done on the image and compared the fonts to bring it to notice.
Photoshopped! Look at how the letters 't' and 'e' in the word 'mate' are different from 't' and 'e' in the word 'times'. 't' is longer and 'e' is bigger in the word 'mate'. And there's a visible change in texture around the word 'mate' when zoomed. pic.twitter.com/nvAAM9mEhb
