Earlier this week when the historical Notre Dame Cathedral went up in flames, photo of a father and daughter clicked in front of the monument was widely shared on social media. American Photographer Brooke Windsor had posted the happy picture on Twitter which she had clicked an hour before the church was engulfed in fire. Sharing the photo, being concerned of their well being, Brooke had requested Twitter to let her know if they knew the duo. And now finally it seems that the man in the photo contacted Brooke and assured he and his daughter were safe. The man chose to be anonymous and thanked Brooke for photographing the memorable moment beautifully. Earlier while posting the photo on Twitter, the photographer had written, "I took this photo as we were leaving #NotreDame about an hour before it caught on fire. I almost went up to the dad and asked if he wanted it. Now I wish I had. Twitter if you have any magic, help him find this." After being contacted by the man in the photo, she again took to Twitter updating, "The search is over! The photo has reached the dad & family. He has chosen to remain anonymous in the wake of tragedy, and writes: 'Thanks again for that beautiful photo, we will find a special place for it.' More than 400 firefighters toiled for nine hours to douse the fire. According to investigators, it was an accidental fire and investigation has begun. Meanwhile, Notre Dame's rector said that he will close the burned-out Paris cathedral for up to six years. French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe has announced an international architects' competition to rebuild the spire of Notre Dame Cathedral. On Thursday, The International Olympic Committee 500,000 euros for the restoration of Notre Dame for the 2024 Paris Games.
