The ever-criticised United States President Donald Trump’s popularity chart might have dwindled recently, over his immigration policy; however, this person from Telangana hasn’t failed to worship him even after all the controversies. Bussa Krishna, a farmer who hails from Jangaon district, worships US President Trump every day. Not just that, Krishna has placed a photograph of Donald Trump at his place of worship in his house and routinely offers prayers to him. Last year, an Indian engineer Srinivas Kuchibhotla was brutally murdered, in a hate-crime incident, by a US Navy veteran. Krishna said that he was deeply pained by the incident. The 31-year-old farmer said, “I thought the only way the US president and the people of USA could understand the greatness of Indians is to display our love and affection towards them. That is why I started worshipping Trump with a hope that the prayers would reach him one day.”
As per an English Daily report, Krishna said, “I believe Indians can win over anyone with their spiritual powers. When you cannot take on a mighty person directly, you can win over him with love and worship and that is what I am doing.”

It is not new in India for fans to build temples for political figures and offer prayers to them. In the past, people have also built temples for Amitabh Bachchan, Narendra Modi, Rajinikanth, Pawan Kalyan amongst others. Amidst all the criticism, Trump himself will be happy to know that he has an admirer in the faraway east. A farmer in Telangana praying for him might spring a surprise for the President of one of the democracies in the world!
