But while talking about it, Sayani Gupta has advocated for a crackerless Diwali, which has not been taken well by the audience. The new commercial of Tanishq ad was shared by the official account on Twitter yesterday. The ad shows Sayani Gupta, Alaya F, Neena Gupta and Nimrat Kaur talking about how they will be celebrating Diwali this year, amid the pandemic. While elaborating on what Diwali means to them, Sayani Gupta's statements have come across as 'preachy' to some. She says, "I am hoping to be able to meet my mum after really long. Definitely no firecrackers, I don't think anyone should light any firecrackers." Users have looked at it as a way to teach them how they should be celebrating the festival. While some states have imposed a firecracker ban amidst this COVID-19 situation, this ad has not been looked at too well.
