A Swedish football reporter was grabbed and kissed live on air this week, showing harassment of female reporters at the World Cup. Malin Wahlberg was presenting live coverage ahead of Sweden’s fixture against South Korea when she was bothered by the travelling fans. The match was on Monday, but the footage has surfaced after Colombian journalist Julieth Gonzalez Theran was harassed during a broadcast for Deutsche Welle.
Ms. Wahlberg had to fend off a Swedish fan who draped his arms around her back and kissed her during a broadcast in Nizhny Novgorod. Despite having her hair ruffled and the distraction of boisterous Swedish fans bouncing in the background she carried on professionally with the broadcast, as reported by Daily Mail.

Earlier the Russian man who groped Ms. Gonzalez Theran during a live broadcast apologised and said it was a ‘misunderstanding’ as he meant to touch her shoulder. The man came in the shot, grabbed her breast and kissed her on the cheek. The reporter carried on presenting despite the harassment, but the Russian man offered his ‘profound apologies’.
