Sri Lanka Blasts: Sudarsan Pattnaik Creates Sand Art As Tribute to the Victims of Easter Sunday Bombing (View Pic)

Sudarsan Pattnaik created a sand art at the Puri sea beach in Odisha, as a tribute to the victims of Easter Sunday bombing.

Easter Sunday turned into a devastating moment at Sri Lanka, where eight blasts were reported from different churches and hotels across the nation. More than 200 people were killed in the simultaneous explosions that also injured several hundred victims. It is unclear as to who was behind the attacks, but people across the globe came together extending their condolences. A mark of solidarity and unity in times of crises, individuals even gathered to contribute in whatever way they could, to save the lives of the injured people. While the entire globe continues to mourn, Indian sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik created a sand art at the Puri sea beach in Odisha, as a tribute to the victims of Easter Sunday bombing. People From All Religions Display Solidarity by Gathering in Huge Numbers to Donate Blood For Sri Lanka Terror Attack Victims.

The sand art depicts the tragic incident that happened in the early hours of Easter Sunday, along with a sense of unity, crafting, “We are With Sri Lanka”. Pattnaik’s followers on Twitter has given the art a big thumbs up, prolonging their support to all the victims of the horrific attack. While tweeting, the sand artist wrote, “We Condemn Horrific Attack” in Sri Lanka. Twitterati Condole Attack on Churches and Hotels on Easter Sunday, Prays for Those Affected.

Meanwhile, the Sri Lankan government currently has enabled a curfew and also shut down access to social media and other services. Many famous personalities took to twitter expressing their sadness over the blasts and urged citizens to be stronger in this time of grief. The Eiffel Tower went dark at midnight on April 21 to honour the more than 200 people who lost their lives in the serial bomb blasts. There was no immediate claim of responsibility by any terror group; however, reportedly seven people were arrested following the attacks.
