In a shocking incident, a farmer in Madhya Pradesh found a soya plant growing out of a live rat's body. Yes, you read that right! While soya bean seeds germinate from the ground we are not sure how the rat's body became a fertile ground for the plant to grow. It was Datar Singh a farmer from Ratlam district in Madhya Pradesh who saw the rat with a plant growing on its body. Singh had planted a soya bean crop earlier this year on his land and was shocked to see the plant growing out of the rat.

The farmer was checking his crops when he spotted a rat in the middle of the field. After he informed his neighbours, one of them captured the video and the news spread among other villagers. His neighbours also came to the field and brought the rat out of the field for everyone to see. While the rodents are considered pest by farmers, this one garnered a lot of interest among people.

Watch the video here:

The head of the biology department at a nearby college called the incident a miracle. Later, the farmer took the rat home and removed the sapling. As the plant grew neat the neck, there was no damage to the brain.

Singh said that one of the soya bean seeds would have fallen into the open wound of the rat and germinated there. Singh said that he sowed the soya seeds 40 days ago, so it seems that the rodent survived all the days with the plant growing out of it.
