A woman in South Carolina tossed a snake on a car driver in an attempt to carjack his vehicle. The Greenville police arrested a woman named Hilmary Moreno-Berrios, 29, who hurled a live snake at the driver of a car to distract him and to snatch the car keys. She allegedly carjacked another woman in a Honda CR-V and was later spotted driving on a main street in the city centre. As per the authorities, she demanded the car keys and then threw the black snake at the woman.  She then drove the car with the snake still inside and rammed into the barriers of the Liberty Bridge Jump-Off. Moreno-Berrios is charged with carjacking, malicious damage to property and five other traffic violations. She also swatted the driver with wooden sticks before throwing a live black snake at her. The stolen vehicle was taken around 8.30 pm on Friday and taken through the city, by going across event barriers for a Liberty Bridge jump-off pole vaulting event, which was to take place on the weekend. About $17,225 worth of equipment for the event was damaged. The stolen car also crashed into another vehicle at the crossroads. However, no other injuries were reported from the incident, as per a report in Independent UKThe police arrested the woman and she was taken for medical treatment for shoulder pain. She was kept in the psychological department for evaluation. When the police found the car, the snake was still inside. It was a non-venomous snake and was released into the woods nearby. The woman is now in custody on a $25,000 bond. She has been issued traffic citations for hit and run, failure to stop for the police, resisting arrest, reckless driving and driving on a closed street.
