Fans of comic book publishing giants, Marvel and DC Comics are in for a huge (mostly pleasant) surprise after Wonder Woman teased Deadpool on Twitter! No, no, hold your horses there is no crossover between the two rival comic books, but it was actress Gal Gadot aka Wonder Woman of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) who threw shade at Deadpool, a superhero played by actor Ryan Reynolds in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Gal and Ryan indulged in a quirky, funny banter on the microblogging platform over a signature crossed hands superhero pose. Well, let us take the initiative of enlightening Wonder Woman and Deadpool and inform that it was not them but our very own Daler Mehndi Paji who made this pose famous! Bolo Tara Rara!!

Ryan Reynolds aka Deadpool is ready to unleash its gory, foul-mouthed yet side-splitting humour with the upcoming release Deadpool 2 in May. The trailer has taken the fans and movie lovers on a ride and its hype is completely understandable. However, one did not expect a superhero from rival and that too the Amazonian Princess, Diana of Themyscira to be impacted by the King of Gross so much that she would poke fun at him on Twitter. Yes, Gal Gadot left every DC and Marvel fan surprised by posting a scene from Deadpool 2 taking a light-hearted dig at the R-rated superhero.

Gal writes, “Dude stole my look!! 😉🙅‍♀️😈 @VancityReynolds” Yes, she did it because why not. She is the strongest, hottest, coolest, beloved superhero who never holds back from doing what she deems right (Remember her crossing the No Man’s Land fighting the raining bullets and cannon balls, right). Gadot was at her cheekiest best to claim that the crossed hands at chest was her pose and has been lifted by Deadpool, the notorious anti-villain superhero!

Knowing Reynolds who is blessed with sarcastic bones, fans were waiting in anticipation for his reply. The funnyman both on and off the screen did not disappoint them as he replied, “Imitation is the sincerest form of larceny.”

His tweet got us break into several rounds of Hahas and Hehes like always. But the most important part was the ‘breaking of ice’ between superheroes of rival camps, however, it might pain us to tell them that it is Indian Punjabi singer, apne Daler Mehndi Paji (who is currently out on bail in human trafficking case is the man behind making the pose in contention famous)!

Raise your hands or cross my heart and hope to die (whatever works for you best) and say that you have not seen Daler Paji break into the crossed hands Bhangra pose in his musical albums. From Tudup Tudup Tu, Bolo Ta Ra Ra, Ho Jayegi Balle Balle, Tunak Tunak Tun to Kala Kauwa, almost all dance videos have featured him in the ‘superhero’ pose. Daler Paji would have busted Wonder Woman and Deadpool’s claims had he not been maintaining a low profile after a Patiala court sentenced him to two years in jail in a 15-year-old human trafficking case and is out on bail.

However, if Daler Mehndi Paji can’t, Black Panther aka T'Challa, King of Wakanda aka Chadwick Boseman would like to present his case as being the rightful owner of the iconic signature pose! We would totally love to see Wonder Woman, Deadpool getting challenger by Black Panther in what would be the planet’s biggest crossover in the true sense.
