A new super model is ruling social media with her perfectly toned body, appealing eyes and accurate postures. Shudu Gram is being called as one of the most beautiful models on Instagram. But hey, she is not a regular Insta famous model. Shudu is not real! Created by a British photographer Cameron-James Wilson, Shudu Gram is world’s first digital supermodel who has racked up more than 60 thousand followers (and still counting). Credit goes to her lifelike images. After she has made her Instagram debut last year in April, Shudu has witnessed an impressive growth in her fan base.

Shudu Gram may look like she has just waltzed off a catwalk somewhere, but in real, she is computer generated. Her beauty in fact reached to the renowned singer Rihanna. Shudu caught the Barbadian’s attention after a photo of her wearing one of Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty Lipsticks, a photo that was reposted by the brand. But yes, just like every popular figure, Shudu soon became controversial. With her flawless skin and long limbs, she was questioned whether she is just a little too perfect and Wilson was forced to reveal the truth. He admitted that she was a creation of his imagination and updated Shudu’s Instagram Bio which now reads— “World’s First Digital Supermodel.”

The British Photographer was quoted in Refinery29 saying, “Basically Shudu is my creation, she’s my art piece that I am working on at the moment. She is not a real model unfortunately, but she represents a lot of the real models of today. There’s a big kind of movement with dark skin movement with dark skin models, so she represents them and is inspired by them.” With this, her army followers are getting the heads around the fact that she is not real.

But yes, the disclosure did not go really well with people as they believe that Shudu represents more than a digital project. Twitterati’s heartbroken!

Black Community is not a trend!

What do you think?

This is problematic!

Black Skin is not a toy.

A photo shoot with a real dark skin model!

Racism and misogyny!

The models in Instagram and other social media platforms are attracting more followers each day and Shudu Gram is one big example. Though much of a controversial figure, Shudu’s account is still active and her increasing numbers of followers is quite a competition to other influencers.
