#ShameonIndiGo Trends on Twitter After IndiGo Forgets Luggage of All Passengers of Istanbul-Bound Flight 6E 11 in Delhi

In a major blunder, Indigo airline reportedly did not load the luggage bags of all passengers for an international flight from Delhi to Istanbul. The Indigo flight 6E 11 took off from Delhi on September 15, without loading passengers’ luggage.

New Delhi, September 16: In a major blunder, IndiGo Airline forgot to load luggage bags of all the passengers for an international flight from Delhi to Istanbul. The Indigo flight 6E 11 took off from Delhi on September 15, without loading passengers’ luggage. After this gaffe, #ShameOnIndiGo started to trend on Twitter. As the flight landed in Istanbul, the passengers were informed about the blunder through a letter. IndiGo To Launch Flight Services to Male, Phuket From India, After GoAir Announced Expansion in Same Route.

One of the passengers Chinmay Dabke, tweeted, “Just flew in on @IndiGo6E flight 6E 11 from Delhi to Istanbul last evening. We received this piece of paper when we were waiting for our luggage at the belt. The airline did not load the luggage of the ENTIRE FLIGHT. Not a single passenger got their luggage (1/n) #shameonindigo," as he shared a picture of the apology note handed to the passengers.” He also complained about his father missing daily medication as all his medicines were packed in the luggage. IndiGo Mumbai-Allahabad Flight 6E 5987 Encounters Severe Turbulence, Three Crew Members Injured.

Fehmi Mohammed, who was onboard the Istanbul flight told Moneyconytrol that he had waited for nearly 25 minutes till an on-ground staff, came and handed the letter informing about the gaffe. He also tweeted, “@IndiGo6E all Passengers from New Del-IST 6E11 whose baggage didn't arrive were (unintentionally) being served these Beef salami sandwiches as refreshments, without any information of its contents (which are in written in Turkish).” IndiGo Faces Wrath of Passengers as Delhi-Bound Flight 6E-6097 Stays on Mumbai Runway For 6 Hours.

Later in the day, the airline issued a statement about the incident. In the statement, the IndiGo Corp Comm expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to the passengers. The airline said that due exceptionally heavy headwind we had certain payload restrictions on a few fights to Istanbul which lead to offloading of a limited number of checked-in baggage.
