When a team wins, they decide to swim first or second. Well, that’s the latest joke on ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 doing the rounds on social media. But why is everyone so anti ICC and the 12th edition of CWC. The reason is pretty simple – four World Cup 2019 matches including India vs New Zealand fixture getting washed out due to rains so far. Fans in India for whom cricket is a religion and World Cup is a festival are the most dejected lot. Their patience is wearing thin with every abandoned match and they have gone all out to name and shame International Cricket Council (ICC) for their poor scheduling and management. Indian Twitterati are trending ‘Shame on ICC’ or #ShameOnICC hashtag on the micro-blogging platform with most hilarious desi memes and jokes. Fans Put Rain on Top of Cricket World Cup 2019 Points Table After Washouts Rule Roost.
Enough of chanting “Rains, rains go away” as Indian Twitterverse has erupted in outage over cancelled games. Their rage knows no bounds especially after the much-anticipated India-New Zealand, the eighteenth match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 was abandoned without a ball bowled. The match was to be held at the Trent Bridge in Nottingham. Points were split and one point was awarded to each team. With this New Zealand are now on top of CWC19 points table while India are on the third place. Fans feel the No-Result dented Virat Kohli-led India’s momentum, who were on a high after beating South Africa and Australia convincingly in first two matches.
ICC has been under attack from desi fans ever since the governing council instructed MS Dhoni, former captain and India’s wicket-keeper-batsman to remove Army insignia gloves. Fans were irked by their decision and with rains playing spoilsport in matches, they are making sure to take potshots at ICC. Here are some of the tweets posted by angry netizens with hashtag #ShameOnICC.

Stop Blaming ICC, Climate Change is a Thing
Silly rampage against ICC. How the hell are they supposed to predict rain during summer months in Europe? Gutter logic. If anything it underlines climate change. #ShameOnICC
