A teacher from South Africa has been trending on social media since last month for the sartorial choices she makes at the school she teaches. Lulu Menziwa's looks and dress code has been grabbing headlines for not looking like a conventional teacher, and hence people cannot get enough of her. However, after a week of hubbub on social media, Lulu has finally reacted and asked the people to leave her alone. Initially posted by a Twitter user Lufuno Mathoni, the pictures of Lulu Menziwa is doing rounds on social media ever since. The post having photographs of the teacher was also tagged to Gauteng education MEC Panyaza Lesufi with a caption that can be taken in a demeaning light. Mathoni mentioned in his post that Menziwa's employment by the department "made it hard for the kids to pass." Not only is the statement objectifying but it also belittles the career of the fantastic looking teacher. The post surprisingly received a mixed response. While many are calling out the man for posting such comments on Twitter, some called out the school and women for not having a "proper" dress code.
Take a look at some of the reactions:
Agree
There is nothing wrong with what this woman is wearing. We live in a society where men just sexualize women for no valid reasons. This needs to stop its annoying mos👎🏽😡🥵🤬

One should be free to look nice
It is honestly disturbing. Lapho she just has a nice body and she is dressed appropriate for work. These men should be ashamed man, Ngeke sizwe ngabo. Can we be allowed to look nice without being sexualised? Abakahle laba😡

Hmmm...
Beautiful. Somehow it encourages learners that teaching ain't a boring and uptight career.

What?!
Why shld kids wear uniform if teachers are dressed as if they r going to a club? Its a formal profession n needs formal presentable clothes, u can show off yo fency torn jeans n bling to yo peers over da wknd, impressing kids is a sign of being twisted

Why can't we just leave her alone and let her look good?
1. Your kids just need to learn to respect their elders
2. Pretty sure some of the girls at school are impressed/inspired/motivated to see a female teacher looking that good

This person needs counselling
I guess teachers these days in SA think they’re there to show off their bodies as opposed to actual teaching - don’t schools in South Africa have a respectable dress code for their educators to adhere to ?

In her defence, Lulu Menziwa has posted a video where she was again trolled for her command over English.

In the video, she can be heard calling out people saying, "They are busy hiding behind their profiles, they are so ugly, so enjoy you, you must stop this what you're doing." She further added, "I know now I'm famous, everyone knows me, I'm all over the social networks, on radio stations they are talking about me." Addressing her sexual appeal, Menziwa told her critics that she teaches young boys who are not "perverted". "I'm sick and tired of you. Stop taking pictures [of me] that are trending on social media, stop screen grabbing and sending to me. Please read it for yourselves."
