Marshmallows, a confectionery sweet is loved by many for its squishy form. But taking its squishy form to another level was a store in the UK which is selling marshmallows in shapes of boobs and bums. Asking its customers to squeeze them, Poundland in Manchester is at the receiving end of a lot of criticism online. These marshmallows are placed in the store's novelty section and have provocative phrases asking customers to squish and be gentle with them. A Twitter user called it promoting sexual assault of women and also questioned why there was no sexualising of male parts if that's what they wanted to do. Longing to Squeeze Butts While Lying on Bed? People online weren't impressed either and Poundland started receiving more backlash. They questioned whether these products were acceptable to be sold in such stores. Someone even questioned since fancy-shaped candies are more attractive for the children, why are they being sold in a family store.

Meanwhile, Poundland did not find anything wrong with it at all. "If something’s offended you, we won't force you to buy it. It's fine for you to look the other way and ignore it. Here at Poundland, we think it’s ok that sometimes we don't always get it right for everyone," a spokesperson was quoted to Mirror Online. It may be innovative of the company to come up with something like this, but such products definitely cannot make it on the shelf of family stores.
