The shockingly bizarre incident took place on Thursday before the take off of the LH1411 flight. All 130 passengers along with 5 crew members were asked to leave the aircraft and the special police squad came in with sniffer dogs to search for the bomb. The police then traced the call and made an arrest a day later. The man confessed that he made a hoax call to the court on Saturday, July 20. The 65-year-old had met two flight attendants and wanted to have dinner with them. He liked one of them so much that when he could not track her or the hotel she was staying at, he made the desperate attempt to keep her in the country. He confessed that he had developed strong feelings for her. The Serbian media reported that the prosecution asked for the man to be kept in custody, pending charges of causing panic and disorder. The interior ministry also released a statement about the incident. The hoax call made an 8-hour-delay on the flight and some passengers even had to book an alternative flight to reach their destination.
