The term 'fashion show' generally brings to your mind women models walking down the ramp. But that was not the case in this fashion show in Saudi Arabia, instead of women they had, well, nothing. But that did not stop them from showcasing their latest collection. Gowns and accessories from Dolce & Gabbana fluttered down the ramp fastened on two ropes fastened on the runway. Videos from the event are now viral on the internet with people laughing at the conservative country's idea.
The internet now can't stop laughing at the 'ghostly fashion show'. While Saudi Arabia has been witnessing many modernising changes in the recent past, the fashion industry in the country still seems to be lagging behind.
Jina, a Kurdish woman, shared this video on Twitter with the caption, "I am dying at this fashion show in Saudi, they weren't allowed, female models." The tweet went viral with people laughing at the event organiser's bizarre idea.

Saudi hosted the inaugural Riyadh fashion week last month, however, there does not seem to be many changes in their workings. The audiences were only females and male fashion designers were not even allowed backstage at their own shows. Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed bin Salman has liberalised several norms in the country of which he recently lifted the ban on driving for women.
