5. Sendai Daikannon, Japan (100 metres)
Sendai Daikannon is the fifth tallest statue in the world of gem-bearing Nyoirin Kannon form of Kannon. It is the tallest statue of the goddess in Japan which stands 100 metres tall. When it was built in 1991 it was the tallest statue in the world, but with the time it was surpassed for that title. The statue of Kannon holds wishing gem in her hand gaining her another name 'Wish-fulfilling Kannon'.
4. Ushiku Daibutsu, Japan (100 metres)
Ushiku Daibutsu means 'Great Buddha in Ushiku' which is located in Japan. It stands 120 metres tall including 10-metre base and 10-metre lotus platform. The statue is completely made of bronze. Visitors can reach the top of the statue by using the elevator.
3. Laykyun Setkyar, Myanmar (116 metres)
The third tallest statue in the world has a height of 116 metres, situates in Monywa, Myanmar. The construction of the statue started in 1996 and completed in 2008. The standing Buddha is together with reclining Buddha and the seated Buddha.

It is the second tallest statue in the world with a height of 153 metres, located in China. It is estimated that it consists of 1,100 pieces of the Copper cast, weighing 1,000 tons. 1. Statue of Unity, India (182 metres)
The Statue of Unity is the tallest statue in the world with a height of 182 metres. The monument is dedicated to the first Deputy Prime Minister of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel located in Gujarat, India. Its real height is 240 metres including the base. The project was started in October 2013 and will be inaugurated on 31 October 2018 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It was built with a budget of Rs 2, 989 crores (US$420 million).
