Famous Haryana dancer and former Big Boss contestant Sapna Choudhary's dance show in Farrukhabad caused a massive turn out that saw organisers resort to lathi charge in order to control the crowds. According to reports, a number of people have received injuries owing to the lathi charge by organisers in Uttar Pradesh's Farrukhabad district. It is reported that the police present at the venue was busy in getting pictures clicked with the dancers in the show, while the bouncers were badly taking a swing at anybody in sight in the crowd.
The chaos could have turned tragic as two electric poles were uprooted in the rush during the lathi charge by organisers when crowds ran hither and thither to save themselves. Fortunately, no casualties took place as electricity connection was cut off immediately after the incident. Here is the video of Sapna Choudhary's dance:
The dance programme was organised by a local contractor but the whole show was helmed by two Samajwadi Party leaders, Rameshwar Yadav and Subodh Yadav. Rameshwar Yadav is a former MLA and Subodh Yadav, who cut the ribbon commencing the dance show, was representing the District Panchayat was also looking after the show and monitoring the stage as can be seen in the video below:
The reporters at the venue questioned the authorities on the dance show exceeding the time limit. As per reports, the permission for the show was only up to 7 pm but the organisers continued with the programme late into the night that lead to excessive crowd gathering at the spot after which the organisers lathi charged the crowds. Quite a number of spectators got injured and few received severe injuries in the lathi charge.
