Well, now another love birds have surfaced on the internet, because of their awesomely adorable love affair, happening, at the Denver Zoo. The love story of two same-sex flamingos, Lance Bass and Freddie Mercury, who have been giving major couple goals since 2014. The announcement of Lance and Freddie’s romance to the world comes in conjunction with the Denver Zoo’s pride initiatives. And it is so far the best viral and adorable moment that we have come across in the Pride Month. Along with the revelation of the love story of these two male Flamingos, the zoo also announced that the pair are even planning to raise a chick together. The two male flamingos who have been named after two famous musicians, are a couple for several years now. Denver Zoo in a Facebook post, also said that both of them could one day potentially become parents to a chick. The zoo wrote, “While these two males won’t be able to have a chick of their own, they are able to act as surrogate parents if a breeding pair is unable to raise their chick for any reason,” adding the hashtags “Pride” and “zoo for all.” #LoveIsLove at Sea Life Sydney Aquarium! Meet Love Birds Lance Bass and Freddie Mercury
Freddy Mercury is reportedly a Caribbean flamingo brought to the zoo in 1970 and Lance Bass, is a Chilean, hatched in Denver in 2001. The Bird Keeper, Brittney Weaver reported that the two have always been the standouts. It was since 2014, when the zookeepers began to notice them hanging out and spending a lot of time together. They saw them participating in all those courtship behaviours and one fine day, they finally built the nest, confirming their love, to the zoo. The two species coming together, is unique, but is not unheard of.
