38-years-old Harbhajan Singh, who has played 103 Test matches for India and picked up 417 wickets is the third highest wicket-taker in India's history of Test Cricket. The off-spinner has 269 ODI wickets from 236 matches, and has represented India in 28 T20Is and was an important part of India's 2007 World T20 Inaugural championship and 2011 World Cup victory.

On July 2, Cricket Icon and batting legend Sachin Tendulkar, in a new video posted on Instagram, nominated Indian footballer Sandesh Jhingan, Hockey player Sardara Singh, cricketers Virat Kohli and Mithali Raj, along with badminton players Srikanth Kidambi and P. V. Sindhu to join in and motivate youth to engage in sports. He asked everyone to "kitup", go out and play a sport. Tendulkar, who has often spoken about his desire to serve and do something for Indian sports post retirement, has been active in promoting sports and uses every platform to encourage people to take up sports and stay fit.  Indian Cricket Captain Virat Kohli even accepted the challenge and passed it further to Wicket-Keeper batsman Parthiv Patel.
