Sachin Tendulkar Introduces #KitUpChallenge, an Extension to Fit India Challenge

Mumbai, June 28: Cricket Icon and batting legend Sachin Tendulkar, in a new video posted on Instagram, nominated Indian footballer Sandesh Jhingan, Hockey player Sardara Singh, cricketers Virat Kohli and Mithali Raj, along with badminton players Srikanth Kidambi and P. V. Sindhu to join in and motivate youth to engage in sports. He asked everyone to "kitup", go out and play a sport. Tendulkar, who has often spoken about his desire to serve and do something for Indian sports post retirement, has been active in promoting sports and uses every platform to encourage people to take up sports and stay fit.

The legend, in the video, has said that he enjoyed playing sports from a very young age and enjoyed Cricket even more. Terming his challenge as the "KitUpChallenge", he called it an extension of the Fit India concept and urged everyone to "kit up" and enjoy playing to keep themselves fit. Earlier this month, Prime Minister posted a video of himself performing Yoga asanas and breathing exercises, he was challenged by Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli to take up the fitness challenge.
