The brand took to social media posting a video holding their flag on the summit of the world's highest peak, Mount Everest. They achieved the feat on May 21, 2019. Interestingly, the day also coincides with the 100th birth anniversary of Sir Edmund Hillary, the first man ever to climb the summit of Mount Everest along with Tenzing Norgay. The clip titled 'Rupa on top of The World at Mount Everest' shows mountaineers climbing the top of the snow-capped mountains in freezing temperatures.
As the video progresses, the caption reads, "At the highest point on the Earth, the temperature falls to minus 40 degree Celsius, Oxygen levels drop by 60 percent. Nothing can prepare you." The footage shows the pristine white mountain ranges of the Himalayas standing tall in all its glory. The video ends saying 'Rupa, on top of the world at Mount Everest' holding 'The Rupa Flag' in hand. After being shared on social media on Tuesday, the video has received over 20,000 views on Facebook.

Rupa's video comes after Jockey celebrated 50 years of being part of NASA's historic Apollo 11 Moon landing. Jockey in a series of social media posts expressed pleasure in having been part of 'mankind's greatest voyage' on Apollo 11. NASA had commissioned Jockey to design undergarments for the first manned mission to the moon.
Rupa currently has nine brands under them including Frontline, Euro, Softline, Macroman, Jon, Bumchums, Torrido, Thermocot and Frontline. They are known for their innerwear for men, women and children of all age groups. An array of Bollywood actors including Govinda, Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor had represented the brand in the past. Currently, the brand is endorsed by Anushka Sharma, Ranveer Singh and Siddharth Malhotra.
