While some ignore responsibilities, others perform outrageous stunts or create cringe-worthy content to gain popularity online. Recently, Rimal Twinki, an Instagram influencer, shared a video of her grooving to the beats of a Bollywood song. However, this was not a regular dance video. The influencer’s mother lay in the hospital bed behind her as she danced to the song. In her defence, Rimal came out and cleared the air around the video. In a now viral video doing the round on social media, she clarifies that she did not ditch her responsibilities or ignore her sick mother lying in the hospital bed. She adds that her mother had undergone minor surgery and was in severe pain for a few days. She performed the dance in a private room after her mother was out from the surgery in order to lift her spirits and see her smile again. She further adds that her mother requested she share the video online since it had brought her comfort during a stressful time and it was a personal moment that was meant only for her mother and not for entertainment purposes. As the criticism did not stop, her mother too came in support of her and expressed that her daughter made the video after the surgery was done and while she was resting.
