Bhopal, September 3: Crows have become a living nightmare for Shiva Kewat, a daily wager from Madhya Pradesh's Sumela village. Shiva hesitates to leave his house and always carries a stick to shoo crows off. Whenever, he steps out of his house, a flock of crows or sometimes lone flier swoops down on him in a bid to bite him. This happens every day, and every time he leaves home. Crows attack Shiva for the crime he never committed. Florida Man Cuts Off Penis of Wife’s Lover With Scissors After Breaking Into His House in a Revenge Attack.

It all began three years ago. Shiva tried to rescue a crow chick that was stuck in iron netting. However, he couldn't save the bird. "It died in my hands. If only I could explain to them, I was only trying to help," Shiva told TOI. Crows think Shiva killed the chick and that's why they target him whenever he leaves his house. Shiva has a lot of injury marks to show for how he has bled in aerial attacks carried out by crows.

"The assaults are sudden and frightening," he was quoted as saying. Shiva carries a stick with him but doesn't intend to hurt the crows. "I just wave it around to shoo them off. Poor things, they believe I killed the chick," he said. For villagers, the whole thing is amusement. They hang around his home and wait for him to come out to see him getting attacked by crows. A local journalist who went to the village to confirm the news found it to be true.

"You might have heard several stories on revenge by cobras and elephants, but this is the first time I have come across crows bent on vengeance and targeting one individual. There is video footage of crows attacking him, squawking in anger," said Ranjit Gupta, a freelance journalist.
