Ganesh Kumar, who topped class XII board exam in humanities stream in 2017 stumbled when media asked him questions on music after he claimed that music was his favourite subject of all. In practicals, he scored 65 out of 70. After all the controversies, a report from Samastipur, Bihar said that Kumar’s school cancelled the function to felicitate him.
After the continuous shocking revelations about BSEB’s irregularity in evaluation, media asked the former state education minister Ashok Choudhary about the board's shortcomings. He said, “The board chairman has himself said the evaluation process was carried out in a proper manner...the media is always looking to rake up something negative.” He even asked if the media person who asked the questions to Ganesh himself was a great musician. A whopping 64 percent student failed in Bihar Board exams in 2017. Two days after the controversy broke out, BSEB removed Kumar’s name from the list when they discovered that he allegedly hid his real age which was 41 years (as per 2017).
Yes, these are the reason for the delay of BSEB’s results. Bihar Education Minister, Krishna Nandan Prasad Verma recently revealed in a News18 report that the above incidents have created a lot of hullabaloo, which is why the board is being cautious this time. After the embarrassing incidents, both the education board and Bihar’s government’s efficiency were doubted by the public. In order to avoid such mess, the board decided to take their time to release the class 10 and class 12 exam results for the academic year 2017-18.
