Mumbai, July 30: Congress leader Milind Deora on Tuesday hit back at Akali Dal MLA Manjinder S Sirsa for accusing that the stars at the Karan Johar party were high on drugs. Deora, in a tweet, said that his wife was also present in the party and that allegations that the stars in the video were "drugged" as alleged by Sirsa are "lies". In the video shot by Karan Johar, Bollywood A-listers such as Deepika Padukone, Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Ayan Mukherjee and others can be seen in a party mood. "My wife was also present that evening (and is in the video). Nobody was in a “drugged state” so stop spreading lies & defaming people you don’t know! I hope you will show the courage to tender an unconditional apology (sic)," said Deora in his tweet.

Sirsa, who represents the Rajouri Garden constituency in Delhi legislative assembly, attempted to raise hue and cry over the issue of drug consumption through his tweet. Deora, the former parliamentarian from Mumbai South, has however cleared the air over the controversy through his post on social media.
