Queen Elizabeth's 10-Year-Old Grandchild Caught Driving Land Rover in Windsor Castle During Easter Service
The incident grabbed headlines when the Queen’s youngest grandchild was seen driving the luxurious car ‘reasonably fast’ during the Royal Family’s Easter Sunday Service.
Queen Elizabeth’s 10-year-old grandchild, James Viscount Severn, was seen driving a Land Rover at Windsor Castle. The incident grabbed headlines when the Queen’s youngest grandchild was seen driving the luxurious car ‘reasonably fast’ during the Royal Family’s Easter Sunday Service.
As per a report in Russia Today, Viscount Severn was seen steering the wheel of the 4x4 Discovery in the private lawns of Windsor Castle, in the United Kingdom. He was driving ‘reasonably fast’ and looked all happy driving the Land Rover in the castle.
As per the report, the 10-year-old appeared to be sitting in someone’s lap while driving the heavy vehicle. The identity of the care-taker still remains a mystery. Another report states that he was seen sitting on a propped-up seat with a caretaker sitting the back seat. However, the Queen’s grandchild was all happy during his brief adventurous stint.
Under the United Kingdom law, an individual needs no license to drive on a private land. However, it is up to the Queen to decide whether the castle, one of the major tourist sites in the UK, falls under the private category or not.
The incident happened during the Royal Family’s Easter Service. Also present at the Service were the Monarch, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Andrew along with her daughters Princess Beatrice, and Princess Eugenie who was present with her fiancée Jack Brooksbank.
