Rayagada, August 19: A 12-foot-long python was rescued from Odisha’s Rayagada district on Monday. The reptile was rescued from Gayatri Nagar area of the district. The reptile was rescued by Pradeep Kumar Senapati, who works as an auto-rickshaw driver, reported Odisha TV. The python was later handed over to Odisha forest department which released it in the forest. After the python was rescued, locals were seen clicking pictures holding the reptile. Earlier this month, an 11-feet-long python was rescued from state’s Bhubaneswar district. The reptile was rescued by volunteers of People for Animals (PFA) in Patharagadia area. The huge python was later handed over to the forest department.
