Prince Louis' Christening Pictures: Kensington Palace Releases Royal Family's Photographs

Kensington Palace has released adorable pictures of the Royal baby Prince Louis after his christening last week. Photographs show Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton holding the beautiful 12-week-old Louis as he shows off his toothless grin. Older ones George and Charlotte also join their youngest sibling and parents for a family portrait. Releasing the pictures on Twitter, Kensington Palace writes, "The Duke and Duchess hope that everyone enjoys this lovely photograph of Prince Louis as much as they do."
In one of the photos, the Middleton family, including Kate's sister Pippa Matthews and her husband James, also joins them in the morning room and garden at Clarence House. Palace in one of the tweet writes, "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have released four official photographs to mark the christening of Prince Louis on Monday 9th July."
Here are the pictures of the Royal family:
For the ceremony, Louis wore a replica of the royal christening robe, made of fine Honiton lace lined with white satin. It was created in 1841 for Queen Victoria's eldest daughter, Victoria, Princess Royal. The royal robe was passed on for generations and thus used in all subsequent royal baptisms.
Another tweet reads, "The photographs were taken by Matt Holyoak at Clarence House, following Prince Louis's christening."
However, by 2008 the gown had become delicate and hence the Queen's senior dresser Angela Kelly created a hand-made replica to preserve the original. For the christening ceremony, Kate wore a cream Alexander McQueen dress, and her long hair was swept back in a bun and a headpiece by Jane Taylor.
