Poonam Pandey is well-known for her risqué antics on social media. But she managed to push the envelope with her latest Instagram video. Poonam shared an NSFW video on the app, boldly showing off a little more than her followers expected. The video shows her seemingly pleasuring herself, wearing just a bodysuit with its zip pulled down. Her nipples are clearly visible in the video, and since it was shared, it has garnered 1,362,193 views. Instagram has been in the news in the past for pulling down accounts that don’t fall in line with its community guidelines. How Poonam Pandey’s sexy video survived on Instagram for this long without getting banned is the question. Which means, Instagram, which is known for striking down any kind of video or image that violates its community guidelines, has not taken cognisance to Poonam Pandey’s breast display…or so we think.  Poonam Pandey Posts Nude Video on Instagram That Is Both ‘Dirty’ and ‘Uncensored’! (Watch but NSFW).

Nude images of women on Instagram is a controversial subject. Many users have called out the social networking site for its hypocrisy regarding its community guidelines. Artists whose work revolve around nude models had their accounts pulled down by Instagram. This has caused an uproar among the artists who think that the image-sharing app is moral policing their work.

Marijuana activists have also revolted against Instagram saying that despite cannabis being legalised in certain parts of the world, many cannabis-related accounts have been pulled down. But curiously, the Instagram account of Dan Bilzerian, the millionaire poker player, who routinely showcases advertisements for his Ignite brand of cannabis in his posts, has escaped unscathed.

Even pictures of children, which doesn’t adhere to the community guidelines, will be taken down for “safety purposes.”

So What’s Not Allowed on Instagram?

Instagram defends their position on their Community Guidelines page: “Respect everyone on Instagram, don’t spam people or post nudity.”

Instagram is clear on its stand related to allowing nudity even if it’s for artistic reasons: “We know that there are times when people might want to share nude images that are artistic or creative in nature, but for a variety of reasons, we don’t allow nudity on Instagram.”

Sharing photos, videos and digitally-created content that depict genitals, close-ups of fully-nude butt, sexual intercourse which can get your account shut down.

And as far as Poonam Pandey-esque nipple show is concerned, no pictures of female nipples are allowed on the image-sharing site.

And What’s Allowed on Instagram?

But what about breastfeeding images? Remember the uproar Gilu Joseph’s picture created on Twitter in 2018? Luckily for mothers, posting pictures of breastfeeding children will not drive Instagram to delete your account.

Same goes for sharing pictures of post-mastectomy scarring caused in breast cancer survivors. Even nudity in photos of paintings and sculptures are allowed.

So where does Poonam Pandey’s nude video stand in this debate?

Ideally, the video should have been taken down, considering it clearly violates Instagram guidelines. The video is shared purely for a commercial reason since it is an advertisement for Poonam Pandey’s app. Even if she argues on artistic grounds, the video cannot be allowed due to the social media app’s strict stance on nipple show.

While this isn’t an attempt at moral policing and curbing artistic licences, it’s unclear how some accounts on Instagram are exempted from getting banned and others aren’t.
