Polish Tourist’s Kiki Challenge on PIA Plane to Celebrate Pakistan Independence Day Goes Viral; NAB Slams the National Flag Carrier
The National Accountability Bureau has come down hard and slammed the national flag carrier in connections with the Independence Day celebrations.
The latest internet sensation, #KikiChallenge or #InMyFeelingsChallenge is all over the headlines this month. A quick scroll through your social feeds will show you videos where people step out of their cars and dance to the tunes of a Drake track, In My Feelings. After continuous warnings by police officials for obvious reasons, it seems that netizens can still not get over it. The already under criticism #KikiChallenge was recently performed by a Polish blogger on a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane, which has now caused a major problem for both the tourist and the airline. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has come down hard and slammed the national flag carrier in connections with the Independence Day celebrations. Just when everyone thought that the worst of the Kiki challenge was over, Pakistan saw its version of the Internet rage. Dressed in green and white and draping the Pakistani flag, Eva zu Beck was seen in the viral video doing her form of the In My Feelings. According to media outlets, NAB chairman Javed Iqbal has taken notice of the incident. The bureau believed that the Polish woman not only disgraced the national flag by wrapping it around her but also violated the security codes of the national airlines. The NBA spokesman was quoted in a Dawn report as saying, “We want to know that who allowed the woman to go into an empty aircraft and dance at the airport.”
Well, the Polish tourist definitely did not expect such a reaction. After all, she was only celebrating their Independence Day. Hours of posting the video, the issue has sparked so much that Beck had to issue a clarification.

Earlier, PIA tweeted Beck’s photo stating that she is celebrating Pakistan’s Independence Day.
The national flag carrier had collaborated with the Polish woman for making an Independence Day video. Little did they realise that it would spark a national debate. A PIA spokesman said that the woman is not related to the national airline. Only her video to promote Karachi tourism and celebrate Independence Day was shared on its official page, which after immediate backlash has been deleted. Meanwhile, NAB ordered an enquiry against the PIA for disgracing the national flag and misuse of the authority.
