On August 22, Stacee Chapman and her partner Jake was bushwalking with her young family at Kings Billabong near Mildura, Australia. The pair’s 16-month-old twins were just wandering around the greeneries when suddenly a brown snake appeared, camouflaged in leaves. “We were just having lunch and going on a nice adventure - I was just in my own world playing and taking photos,” Ms Carter was quoted in nine.com.au. It was her partner Jack who noticed the reptile, which the couple believes was a highly poisonous snake.

Obviously terrified at seeing a snake so close to the toddlers, Ms Carter said she screamed while Jack immediately jumped into action and scared the snake away. “He was prepared to get bitten for his kids. It happened quite fast, but he scooped up both girls placed them with me and stomped behind the snake and it slid away,” she added.
The Mildura-based makeup artist said she was shaken but relieved when everyone was okay. Mum Carter snapped the pic of her twin girls Isla and Ava seconds before the petrifying encounter with the deadly reptile. Until, she got home, that she spotted the snake prowling in the corner of the snap. The little girls had a lucky escape! Ms Carter said she posted the photo on Facebook as a warning to others to take more care in the bush.
