A plane made an emergency landing on a busy road in California shocking motorists. The pilot was forced to land after the flight lost power shortly after takeoff. A dash-cam video captured the small plane making an emergency landing in the middle of the road.
Chris Young who captured the dramatic landing on dash cam video told KCAL9, "I looked up and saw the plane literally through my sunroof. I was kind of holding traffic back for her because I knew she was going down right there." Young put his hazard lights on and weaved back and forth to stop traffic.
Seconds after the landing, Mr Young said he and a cyclist, who is also seen in the video, went up to the single-engine Cessna Skyhawk. The cyclist went to check on the pilot while Mr Young dialled 911 for help.

Young was quoted as saying, "When I saw the plane I think initially I looked at it and I didn't believe it. All of a sudden I just shook like a leaf, trembling, and just kind of stammering so I pulled over and just kind of sat there and thought oh my god that was an aiplane, an airplane just landed in front of me." Witnesses say that it was an incredible sight to see the pilot make a safe landing.
Shortly after takeoff from nearby John Wayne Airport, the plane lost power supply, Huntington Beach Police Chief Robert Handy wrote on Twitter. This is not the first time, a pilot had to do an emergency landing on a road. Earlier this year, a pilot had to make an emergency landing on a highway in California.
