A G7 photo of US President Donald Trump and Germany Chancellor Angella Merkel, who has been the Chancellor of Germany since 2005, has gone viral on social media and has inspired interesting retweets. The image shows President Trump, sitting in his characteristic arms crossed style and German Chancellor Angela Merkel facing him with host of other leaders surrounding her. The image was shared by the German government.
President Trump kicked a storm before and after the G7 summit by tweeting about French President Emmanuel Macron and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. On the face of it, the retweets seem like trolls but a closer observation not only reveals the interest of netizens in world leaders but also the tendency of people to read into the body language of world leaders and especially US President Donald Trump. The one tweet depicting a (made-up) dialogue between the Chancellor of Germany and US President is hilarious:
Merkel: Donald, I need you to listen, can you do that?
T: Uh huh.
M: This is really important, okay?
T: Mmm huh.
M: I need you to be honest with me, okay?
T: Nods.
M: Donald, look at me... Now, did you swallow the quarter or is it still in your mouth? pic.twitter.com/x906ixIQ0f

The tweets did not stop there. Twitter was happy that somebody was standing up to President Trump:
I AM WOMAN, HEAR ME ROAR!

And there were many tweets that twisted the image for a good laugh:

Author Tony Schwartz added that "millions of Americans stand with you in your rebuke of Trump and in opposition the readmission of Russia and Putin."
To the six true leaders of the G-7: millions of Americans stand with you in your rebuke of Trump and in opposition the readmission of Russia and Putin. Trump does not represent most Americans, who support democracy, as each of you do, and he tragically does not.

Twitter also shared other images of President Donald Trump from G7 summit. Most notably, the 'lasting' imprint of French President Emmanuel Macron's thumb on President Trump's hand after the (extra) firm hand-shake by two leaders.

Other leaders can also be seen in the Merkel and President Trump image that has gone viral, most notably being Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. The other leaders in the picture except Angela Merkel, Donald Trump and Shinzo Abe are John Bolton, US national security adviser (standing behind President Trump), Kazuyuki Yamazaki, Japanese senior deputy minister for foreign affairs (just behind Shinzo Abe),French president Emmanuel Macron, UK prime minister Theresa May among others.
