The Philippines on Tuesday witnessed a powerful 6.1 magnitude earthquake leaving 16 people dead. While the country is yet to revive from the shock, a terrific moment during the earthquake has gone viral on social media. It shows water from the swimming pool of a high-rise building falling down during the quake. The incident happened in the capital were tremors were felt. The video shows water pouring from the top of the Anchor Skysuites in the centre of Manila.

The clip was shared widely on social media with social media users people expressing horror. Most people said they were glad that they were not in the pool. The earthquake which was centred near San Julian town in Eastern Samar province made thousands of people sprint out of their houses and offices. It also resulted in cracks on roads, buildings and a church. Buildings of a supermarket and an airport was also damaged in the collapse which hit Porac town in Pampanga province, north of Manila. Red Cross volunteers, army troops and police all were in action to save those affected and recover bodies. The recent earthquake brings sad memories of the 7.7 magnitude quake which killed nearly 2,000 people in the northern Philippines.

A street in Manila was closed following a building collapse in the region which tilt it. On Tuesday, schools, colleges, government offices and courts were closed for inspections. The Philippines is one of the most earthquake-prone regions. The region also often gets affected by volcanos and floods.
