Considering the animal exploitation and abuse that goes on in the country, the UK government has passed on a law to ban the sale of puppies and kittens. The new law will thus put a ban on puppy farms and unethical dealers who do not care about the welfare of animals. The decision will be implemented after seeking support from the public. So pet shops too will not be allowed to keep animals like puppies and kittens for sale. Animal Welfare Minister David Rutley said the ban "is part of our commitment to make sure the nation’s much-loved pets get the right start in life."
