Peter Mayhew Dies at 74: Best Memes to Remember Our Favourite Chewbacca From ‘Star Wars’ Films

Hollywood was hit with deeply saddening news of Peter William Mayhew's death, a few days ago on the 30th of April.  The English-American actor, popular for portraying Chewbacca in the Star Wars film series left us for the heavenly adobe. He played the character of Chewbacca in all of his live-action appearances from the 1977 original to 2015's The Force Awakens before his retirement from the role. While his character Chewbacca was short-tempered and accuracy with a bowcaster, he did make a special place in each and every Star Wars fan. On his demise, Mark Hamill tweeted, “He was the gentlest of Giants-A big man with an even bigger heart who never failed to make me smile & a loyal friend who I loved dearly-I'm grateful for the memories we shared & I'm a better man for just having known him.
