A four-year-old, mischievous doggo had a narrow escape, after the pooch plunged over 100ft off a cliff while chasing a bird. The pet dog named Archie, miraculously emerged unharmed despite falling the height of a seven-storey building. He reportedly was running over the edge of the cliff on the Isle of Wight, England. The pet was trapped in an area of the coastline which is not accessible to the public but sea and lifeboat crew. Archie was quickly rescued by Freshwater Independent Lifeboat crew and united to his owner. Dog Miraculously Survives Fall From Six-Storey Building in New York As It Lands on Car's Sunroof!
The lifeboat crew members were surprised how the dog miraculously survived after landing into the sea. There was no sign of trauma from his adventure. One of the crew members from the lifeboat, Rich Barton-Wood, reported that Archie’s owner, from Norwich, was on holiday at the island. He alerted the official and was reunited with his pet, about thirty minutes post the tragic incident.
While explaining the incident, Barton-Wood was quoted in the BBC report as saying, “They were walking along Tennyson Down when the dog saw something, chased it and just went over the edge. It's astonishing. It's about 100ft high and there's no access by foot so the only way in is by boat, so the lifeboat went in. Archie was completely fine, not bothered in the slightest. I hope he won't do that again.”

Well, we are hoping as well, that Archie has learnt his lesson and will be a little less mischievous in the future. Walkers in the area are reportedly warned to keep their pets away from the cliff edges. If they see an animal trapped along the coast, they are asked to contact the crew members immediately before attempting to rescue them.
