Popular author Chetan Bhagat once again became the butt of all jokes on Twitter all over again. This time it was an Ola campaign that backfired for Chetan Bhagat. The app-based cab service launched a campaign in collaboration with the writer called 'Ride with Chetan Bhagat'. Although it received a lot of attention, it wasn't for the right reasons.
Last week, Ola took to Twitter saying, "A big shout-out to all @chetan_bhagat fans. We bring you a chance to meet Chetan and get an exclusive discount on his latest book, The Girl in Room 105." Twitterati did not look impressed by Ola's offer and many even vowed to never use Ola again. Chetan Bhagat Introduces New Book ‘The Girl in Room 105’ in a Movie-Like Promo, Watch Video!.

Chetan Bhagat on Tuesday tweeted "Let an Ola take you to your destination today and your next ride could be with me! Book your Ola today. Offer lasts till 25th September. #RideWithChetan #TheGirlInRoom105." Twitter once again trolled the author with many saying they will not hire Ola services until 25th this month.

According to the Ola campaign, those booking an Ola between until September 25 September had a chance to share a cab ride with Chetan Bhagat.

We are not sure how well the campaign #RideWithChetan is doing after the author himself was trolled on social media.
Q1: Who the hell want to ride with @chetan_bhagat ?
Q2: What the hell is this #GirlnRoom105. Is this @Olacabs ad or a escort service ad?

Is this a public service warning sponsored by @Uber_India?

While most of Chetan Bhagat's books have been made into movies, he often gets criticised for his style of writing. People complain that his characters are almost the same in each book with a change in the outer appearance. His last book to be made into a Bollywood movie was Half Girlfriend starring Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor.
