The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced that it will soon introduce a new Rs 20 note very soon. The new note will be yellowish green in colour and bear a motif of Ellora caves. With another new addition to colourful notes, the Twitterati is once again amused. From 2018, we have got several new coloured notes and currency is rightly denoting all colours of the rainbow. The RBI released a picture of how the new Rs 20 note will be like and Twitter did not spare it from memes either. According to the official statement of the Central Bank, they mentioned, "the new denomination has a motif of Ellora Caves on the reverse, depicting the country’s cultural heritage. All the banknotes in the denomination of Rs 20 issued by the Reserve Bank in the earlier series will continue to be legal tender."
