Narendra Modi Replies to 'Yeh Dosti Hum Nahi Todenge' Friendship Day Hindi Wishes from Israel, Calls India-Israel Friendship Eternal; Netizens Hail PM's Tweet in Hebrew

With Israel embassy on Sunday greeted India on the friendship day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded warmly, calling the friendship as eternal. Earlier in the day, Israel Embassy took to Twitter and wished India Happy Friendship Day, with a tweet featuring popular Bollywood song "yeh dosti".

New Delhi, August 4: With Israel embassy on Sunday greeted India on the friendship day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded warmly, calling the friendship as eternal. Earlier in the day, Israel Embassy took to Twitter and wished India Happy Friendship Day, with a tweet featuring popular Bollywood song "yeh dosti" from the movie Sholay along with montage on various meetings between the Indian PM and his counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu.

Israeli Embassy tweeted, “Happy #FriendshipDay2019 India! He said, “Thank you and wishing a Happy Friendship Day to Israel's wonderful citizens and my good friend (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu." "India and Israel are time tested friends. Our bond is strong and eternal! May the friendship between our nations grow and prosper even more in the times to come!" the Prime Minister said. Twitter user Harshit Jain also hailed friendship of Shah and PM Modi.

Both PM Modi and Netanyahu are known to share great chemistry which is visible in bilateral meetings. PM Modi became the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Israel in 70 years. Netanyahu is expected to visit India in September this year.
