Remote Russians cities saw eerie skies darkening over in broad midday, thus sparking discussions ranging from weapons test to aliens' doing! A massive black cloud appeared almost turning day into night for three hours across a larger area almost as big as the British Isles. This darkening of the skies is sparking rumours in these remote areas and well, the mystery of what exactly happened keeps surrounding.

Moscow's defence and meteorological officials too have not made any comments on this mystery clouds in the broad daytime. On checking with related sources, there were no reports of meteorites, eclipses or weapons tests. A local resident from the area was quoted to The Sun about the discussions that are going around among the villagers. He said, "Messages are going around about a light flash registered by the US satellites, followed by increase of radioactive level and unusual activity of the military. We are never going to be told is this was true or false." Whereas someone else said it could only be a UFO. There was also a fear of wildfires spreading across the area but nothing of that sort was reported.
The darkness began around 11.30 am and lasted for about three hours in the region of three districts of Eveno-Bytantaisky, Zhigansky and Verkhoyansky. The residents said that it became so dark that it was not possible to see anything without switching on the lights. "We took torches to walk outside, but actually no-one wanted to be on the street because the feeling was as if something heavy in the air was pressing on your chest," he was quoted. It looked like a sudden storm was coming and everything went dark. The temperatures in the Artic districts was also reported to go down in the time of darkness. But the mystery still remains as what exactly the blinding darkness in daylight was about.
