Mumbai is struggling to cope with the potholes during monsoons, meanwhile in Canada a moose with an apparent leg injury caused significant traffic jam on an Ottawa highway Thursday morning. The moose was first spotted in the eastbound lanes of Highway 417 around 6:30 am. Police officers and provincial officials used their vehicles to box the animal in and separate it from traffic. CBC News started getting calls about the moose near the Pinecrest Road exit at about 6:15 am.

Ottawa Police asked people to take an alternate route this morning to work as emergency responders assist with the moose. Two of the highway's eastbound lanes remained open, although some drivers faced delays of up to 40 minutes due to the incident.

It was expected that wildlife officials would be able to tranquilize the moose and remove it from the highway shortly after 8 am at which point the highway could be fully reopened. While Canada's traffic congestion is temporary, in Mumbai people will have to deal with potholes and monsoons for three more months.
