Mumbai Police, earlier today, tried to clear the air around the controversy that also involves Bollywood actor Ajaz Khan. Replying to a user on Twitter, the city police responded that they hadn’t invited him; hadn’t organised or weren’t even a part of the alleged event.
The synopsis of the entire episode goes like this. The actor had put out a tweet in which he had mentioned that he was invited as the chief guest in an event. Some users did not like it, given the fact that Ajaz’s behaviour while interacting with people on the public platform has been disgusting at times.
It is a well-known fact that this former Big Boss contestant had been involved in a lot of controversies before too and now involved in such a spat is not a great deal for the actor. We bring to you the chain of events that made Mumbai Police clarify with such a tweet.
1. Where it all started.
Many congratulations to BMC and @MumbaiPolice for such an amazing job with "creation of flowers" and thank you so much for inviting me as chief guest at this event, I feel honoured pic.twitter.com/o9V5eaI8V1
— Ajaz Khan (@AjazkhanActor) February 11, 2018
It all began with Ajaz Khan thanking Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Mumbai Police to invite him as a Chief guest at an event.
2. User’s complaint to Mumbai Police
Thank you for letting this dangerous, potential rapist on loose, @MumbaiPolice. https://t.co/98gs9rvD5h
— Sonam Mahajan (@AsYouNotWish) February 27, 2018
Sonam Mahajan, a verified user on Twitter, who was involved in a distasteful conversation with Ajaz Khan, had to tweet to Mumbai Police. Both Sonam and Ajaz were involved in a heated exchange in lieu of the same episode earlier.
3. Police’s reply to the complainant
We have followed you. Request you to inbox your number. We will call you shortly to get details.
— Mumbai Police (@MumbaiPolice) February 27, 2018
Being swift as they always are, the Mumbai Police swung into action immediately. They took the matter into consideration.
4. Another user condemning the episode addressed to Police
Bollywood D grade actor, fasadi and serial abuser @AjazkhanActor was invited as chief guest for an event by @MumbaiPolice - https://t.co/B1YWt2hOT4
— Sanjay Dixit संजय (@Sanjay_Dixit) March 1, 2018
Another Twitter user, Sanjay Dixit, complained about the same to Mumbai Police. Sanjay said that how could the Mumbai Police invite such a D grade actor and a serial abuser to an event, that too as a chief guest.
5. Mumbai Police’s final response
Poor general knowledge alert! Poor research alert! Careless tweeting alert! Let us know after U finish researching, if U could manage finding which city’s Police this is! Clue- NOT one of us! Disclaimer : Mumbai Police neither organised such event nor was part it @OpIndia_com https://t.co/z2ilYZaFnj
— Mumbai Police (@MumbaiPolice) March 1, 2018
The Mumbai Police put the matter to rest with this comprehensive tweet. The city police did acknowledge the episode and clarified that Mumbai Police hadn't organised or they were even a part of it.
Known for posting pun-filled and witty tweets on their social media account on Twitter, Mumbai Police has really mastered the art of engaging with the citizens on the internet. Mumbai Police is known well for sending messages and warnings in one of the funniest ways on Twitter. It is to be seen what reply does the actor has to the unwanted controversy.
